The game would remain tied until the top of the sixth inning, when Dickinson State broke through for another run.  Rebecca Lopez led off with a double and moved to third on a productive out by Yslas.  Lindsey Sullivan grounded out, but it allowed Lopez to score.  The Blue Hawks took a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the sixth.

A one out single by Jordan Biehle started things for Northwestern.  Morgan Means roped a double that scored pinch runner Jessica Rayela to tie the game.  Means advanced to third on the throw to the plate.  Morgan Means pinch ran and scored on a ground out by Kara Nonnemacher to give Northwestern a 4-3 led, which they held for the lead.

LaRont started in the circle for Dickinson State and went two innings.  She allowed two runs on two hits.  Regan Lawrence was charged with the loss.  She went four innings and surrendered two runs on four hits.  Lopez, Yslas, and LaRont each scored a run.  LaRont drove in two runs with her home run.
