Six Blue Hawk Softball Members Win NSAA All-Conference & Post Season Awards

MADISON, S.D. – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) announced its Softball All-Conference and postseason awards Sunday afternoon after the completion of the second championship game between Dickinson State (N.D.) and Jamestown (N.D.) at Thue Softball Complex.  The NSAA Softball All-Conference Team and postseason awards were voted by the league coaches.

The 2015 NSAA All-Conference First Team consists of 20 selections, including six at-large selections.  Dickinson State had six selections on the first-team, while Jamestown had four selections.

In NSAA postseason awards, Nina Gurgian of Mayville State (N.D.) was voted as Player-of-the-Year.  Regan Lawrence of Dickinson State was named to Pitcher-of-the-Year.  Brittany Rheault of Jamestown was chosen as Freshman-of-the-Year.  Kristen Fleury of Dickinson State (N.D.) earned the Coach-of-the-Year award after leading the Blue Hawks to its' first NSAA Softball Tournament title, defeating the Jimmies in two championship games.

Jamestown won the 2015 NSAA Softball Conference Regular-Season Title with an 18-2 record.
