Farstveet inked as first 2014-15 recruit

DICKINSON, N.D. – Dickinson State Head Women's Basketball Coach Mark Graupe is pleased to announce Hailee Farstveet, from Beach, N.D., has signed a letter of intent to play for the Blue Hawks in 2014-15.

Farstveet attends Beach High School, where she averaged 14.8 points per game during the 2013-14 season.  She is a three-time All-Region 7 selection and earned an All-State selection twice.  Her efforts during the 2013-14 campaign earned her the North Dakota Class B Girls' Basketball Player of the Year selection.

"She is a great passer, great ball handler, and she has the intangibles that you can't teach," Graupe said.  "She knows the game very, very well.  She has been seeing varsity action for five years and has tons of experience.  In all my years of recruiting, when she said yes, that was about as elated as I have ever gotten.  It is a very exciting day for the Dickinson State women's program."

During her career at Beach High School, Farstveet was under the direction of Dickinson State alumnus, and athletic Hall of Fame inductee, Bob Waldal.
