Blue Hawks fall to Winnipeg, 61-53

WINNIPEG, Manitoba – The Blue Hawks fell to the University of Winnipeg on Saturday (Dec. 28) in a 61-53 game. The Blue Hawks are now 10-4 on the season.

Skylar Boulanger was the top scorer for the Wesmen, as she finished with 13 points.  Taylor Thorkelsson picked up 10 points.  Boulanger also led in rebounds with eight.  Stephanie Kleysen had three blocks.  The Wesmen finished with 50 rebounds, a shooting percentage of 33.3, and eight steals.

Sophomore guard TaRicka Linzy led the Blue Hawks with 17 points, followed by seniorJess Bygate who tallied 12.  Bygate also led the Blue Hawks with 12 rebounds.  SeniorMariah Duran had five assists.  The Blue Hawks knocked down five three-point shots and finished with49 rebounds. 

The Blue Hawks will be back on the court December 29, as they continue their trip in the Great White North.
