DICKINSON, N.D. – The Blue Hawks fell to the University of Great Falls on Friday (Jan. 17) in a Frontier Conference contest, 90-67. Dickinson State is now 12-9 on the season and 2-4 in Frontier games.
The Argos were led by Darah Huertas-Vining who tallied 32 points. Erin Legel added 16 and Taylor Statton picked up 15. Lindsey Abramson notched a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Great Falls finished with 24 assists, 38 rebounds, nine turnovers, and a shooting percentage of 44.3.
Dickinson State was led offensively by sophomore TaRicka Linzy who picked up 15 points. Senior guard Dawne Degel earned her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Both senior Mariah Duran, junior Ja'Lisa Gatlin, and junior Keshawnee Alley recorded eight points. Nearly every player Mark Graupe sent onto the court recorded at least one point. Duran added two blocks and two steals to her night. Senior forward Jess Bygate blocked three shots. The Blue Hawks finished with 14 assists, 32 rebounds, six blocks, seven steals, and a shooting percentage of 42.6.
Dickinson State will be back on the court against Rocky Mountain College on Saturday (Jan. 18). Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
