Blue Hawks record two double-doubles, but fall 73-60

DICKINSON, N.D. – The University of Montana-Western Bulldogs defeated the Blue Hawks on Saturday (Feb. 1) in a Frontier Conference game, 73-60.  Dickinson State recorded two double-doubles against the Bulldogs.  The Blue Hawks are now 13-12 overall and 3-7 in conference play.

Jenna Banks scored 18 points and five assists off the bench to lead the Bulldogs to victory.  McCall Hasquet tallied 14 and Roxy Thurman finished with 10.  Kaci Matthies registered a team high nine rebounds.  Montana-Western finished with 11 assists, 16 turnovers, 14 steals, 43 rebounds, and a shooting percentage of 42.6.

Junior Ja'Lisa Gatlin put up 19 points for Dickinson State and 12 rebounds for a double-double, while Alley recorded 13 points and 13 rebounds for her double-double.  Senior Jess Bygaterecorded eight points.  The Blue Hawks finished with 42 rebounds, nine assists, 16 steals, and a shooting percentage of 32.4.

Dickinson State will be back on the court Thursday (Feb. 6) when they travel to Westminster.  Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
