DICKINSON, N.D. – The Blue Hawks traveled to Salt Lake City on Thursday (Feb. 6) to take on No. 3 Westminster College in a Frontier Conference matchup. Junior forward Ja'Lisa Gatlin recorded 10 points, but Dickinson State fell 87-46. The Blue Hawks are now 13-13 overall and 4-8 in Frontier play.
Amy Krommenhoek led the Griffins with 27 points off the bench, followed by Tia Pappas with 15. Kelsi Wells and Katie Richens also tallied double digit points, collecting 12 and 10 respectively. Richens led Westminster with six rebounds. The Griffins finished with 37 rebounds, 23 assists, eight turnovers, and a 52.7 shooting percentage.
Gatlin's 10 points were the most among the Blue Hawks, while junior guard Keshawnee Alley was hot on her heels with nine. Junior JaiDah Richardson, sophomore Jalyn Klauzer, and Alley each registered four rebounds for Dickinson State. Sophomore TaRicka Linzy had three blocks. The Blue Hawks finished with 32 rebounds, seven assists, five blocks, five steals, and a shooting percentage of 32.7.
Dickinson State will be back on the court on Saturday (Feb. 8) when they continue the road trip in Dillon, Mont. where they will face The University of Montana-Western. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m
