Blue Hawks fall to Skylights, 82-43

DICKINSON, N.D. – The Blue Hawks fell to Montana State-Northern on Saturday (Jan.4) in a Frontier Conference matchup, 82-43.  Dickinson State is now 12-6 on the season and 2-1 in Frontier play.

Natalee Faupel knocked down 23 points for the Skylights, while Kasie Barta added 20 of her own.  The two combined for 12 three-point field goals overall.  A'Jha Edwards finished with 16 points and a team high eight rebounds.  Molly Kreycik picked up six assists for Northern.  The Skylights finished with 25 assists, 23 assists, and a shooting percentage of 59.6.  Northern made 13 three-pointers in total.

The Blue Hawks were led by senior center Jess Bygate.  The Kiwi tallied 15 points and three rebounds for Dickinson State.  Junior Ja'Lisa Gatlin finished with eight points.  SeniorMariah Duran led the Blue Hawks with six rebounds.  Sophomore Ta'Ricka Linzy once again led the Blue Hawks in assists with seven.  Overall, the Blue Hawks finished with 33 rebounds, 14 assists, two blocks, seven steals, and a shooting percentage of 31.

Dickinson State will be back on the court on January 9, when they travel to Lewis-Clark State.  Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. MT.
