Bulldogs defeat Blue Hawks, 72-38

DILLON, Mont. – The Blue Hawks fell to Montana-Western on Sunday (Oct. 26), 72-38.  The Blue Hawks are now 0-2 on the season.

Baylie Smith led the Bulldogs with 15 points off the bench, while Kaci Matthies scored 14.  No Western player had over four rebounds.  The Bulldogs finished with 42 rebounds, 15 assists, nine steals, and a 51.9 shooting percentage.

Lorna Shepherd led the Blue Hawks for the second straight game.  She tallied 11 points.  Paitton Herbst came off the bench and pulled in seven rebounds and two steals.  The Blue Hawks finished with 40 rebounds, nine assists, seven steals, and two blocks.

Dickinson State will be back in action on Wednesday (Oct. 29) against Minot State.  Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
