GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Blue Hawks fell in an exhibition game to the University of North Dakota, 88-40, on Tuesday (Dec. 2).
Mia Loyd recorded a team high 19 points, while Megan Lauck and Emily Evers picked up 17. Evers also recorded 12 rebounds. Leah Sbalza pitched in 10 points. North Dakota finished with 53 rebounds, 25 assists, and a shooting percentage of 47.9.
In the early minutes of the contest, it was a tightly fought battle with an even score of 19-19. The Blue Hawks converted on seven of their first nine shots.
Hailee Farstveet finished with a team high 15 points. Ashley Bentz knocked down 14 points and five rebounds. Farstveet also recorded five assists and three steals. Farstveet, Megan Klein, and Lorna Shepherd each had a block. Dickinson State finished with 25 rebounds, nine assists, three blocks, eight steals, and a shooting percentage of 30.8.
The Blue Hawks will be back in action on Monday (Dec. 8) against Oglala in Scott Gym. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
