RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Blue Hawks took on South Dakota Mines on Friday (Jan. 16) in an exhibition. The Hardrockers came away with a 57-46 victory.
Mackenzie Kenney recorded 19 points for the Hardrockers, while Payton Humpal recorded 16. Kenney also led Mines with eight rebounds. Jordan Needens recorded seven rebounds. S.D. Mines finished with 44 rebounds, 15 assists, three blocks, five steals, 21 turnovers, and a shooting percentage of 35.4.
Nearly every player Mark Graupe put on the floor scored against Mines. Alyssa Hildebrand led with eight points. Lorna Shepherd and Rachael McDonough each recorded six points. Jalyn Klauzer led the Blue Hawks with six rebounds. McDonough also picked up four steals. The Blue Hawks finished with 35 rebounds, six assists, 11 steals, and a shooting percentage of 26.3.
Dickinson State will be back in action on January 21, in their conference opener against Mayville State. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Scott Gym.
