HAVRE, MT- The Dickinson State University Women's Basketball team fell to #6 nationally ranked Montana State University- Northern on Saturday for their first loss of the season.
The Blue Hawks led most of the game against the Lights outscoring MSU-N 20-13 in the first quarter and took a 35-30 lead into halftime. The Lights then outscored the Blue Hawks 22-17 and 17-15 in the second half leading the Lights to a 69-67 win over the Blue Hawks.
Leslie Beaudoin led the Blue Hawks offense with 23 points while Janniqua Thomas added 20 points in the loss to the Lights. Megan Klein recorded another double-double for the Blue Hawks with 13 rebounds and 11 points.
MSU-Northern had four girls score in the double digits to help the Lights stay undefeated.
Dickinson State shot 48 percent from the field, 43 percent from three and 67 percent from the line while the Lights shot 51 percent from the field, 27 percent from three and 69 percent from the line.
The Blue Hawks are now 4-1 overall and 0-0 in NSAA play. Dickinson State returns home on Saturday, November 14th as they host Montana Tech at 2:00 PM (MDT).
