WEST PALM BEACH, FL- The Dickinson State University Women's Basketball team dropped a nail biter to Keiser University in their final game of their Florida trip on Saturday 70-67.
The Blue Hawks struggled to put up points in the first quarter while Keiser University outscored Dickinson State 16-7 in the opening quarter. Dickinson State closed the gap in the second quarter outscoring Keiser 20-18.
In the second half, the Blue Hawks were outscored 21-15 in the third quarter but made a push in the final quarter to outscore Keiser 25-15 but fell three points short.
The Blue Hawks were led by MacKayla Feeney with 15 points and five assists while Lorna Shepherd recorded 12 points. Megan Klein once again recorded a double double with 19 rebounds and 11 points in the loss to Keiser University.
Keiser University was led by C. Murphy with 23 points, C. Reque with 18 points and M. Shepherd with 11 points in the victory over the Blue Hawks.
Dickinson State is now 10-3 overall and 1-0 in NSAA.
The Blue Hawks return to the court after Christmas when they travel to play Montana Western on December 29th and Rocky Mountain College on December 30th. Both games begin at 5:30 PM (MDT).
