Blue Hawks Finish 1-1 in Rocky Mountain College Holiday Tournament with Win over RMC

BILLINGS, MT- The Dickinson State University Women's Basketball team defeated Rocky Mountain College on December, 30th with a score of 65-51.

The Blue Hawks came out hot, outscoring the Bears 20-9 in the first quarter followed by a 13-11 score in the second quarter to take a 33-20 lead into half time. Dickinson State then outscored RMC 17-14 in the third while the Bears outscored the Blue Hawks 17-15 in the fourth but the Blue Hawks came away with the victory, 65-51.

Ashley Bentz led the Blue Hawks with 13 points while MacKayla Feeney added 11 points. Megan Klein recorded 17 rebounds with nine points in the Blue Hawk win.

Dickinson State shot 36 percent from the field, 33 percent from three, 69 percent from the line, with 53 total rebounds, 14 assists, 17 turnovers, two blocks and four steals.

Rocky Mountain College shot 28 percent from the field, 11 percent from three, 42 percent from the line, with 46 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 turnovers, two blocks and six steals.

The Blue Hawks are now 11-4, 1-0 NSAA. 

Dickinson State will now travel to Denver, Colorado on January 8th to play Johnson & Wales at 5:00 PM (MDT) and Northern New Mexico on January 9th at 12:00 PM (MDT).
