JAMESTOWN, ND- The Dickinson State University Women's Basketball team dropped their first NSAA game of the season Wednesday night as #10 Jimmies won by 10.
The Jimmies outscored the Blue Hawks in the first three quarters (20-13, 19-13, 18-14) while the Blue Hawks outscored the Jimmies in the fourth (31-24).
The Blue Hawks shot 39 percent from the field and 25 percent from three in the first half while the Jimmies shot 50 percent from the field and 44 percent from three to take a 39-26 lead into halftime.
Jessica Buck led the Jimmies with 27 points, McKayla Kraska had 19, Bryn Woodside added 12 and Alexis Watts finished with 11 points in the Jimmie victory.
Dickinson State finished the game shooting 48 percent from the field, 35 percent from three and 70 percent from the line with 35 rebounds, 23 assists, 12 turnovers, one block and four steals.
The University of Jamestown finished the game shooting 46 percent from the field, 43 percent from three and 63 percent from the line with 33 rebounds, 23 assists, nine turnovers, two blocks and eight steals.
The Blue Hawks are now 16-5 overall and 4-1 in NSAA play.
Dickinson State returns home on Saturday to host Valley City State University at 4:00 PM (MDT) in Scott Gymnasium.
