DICKINSON, ND – The Dickinson State University Women's basketball team won against Bellevue on Friday night at Scott Gym with a score of 68-54.
The Lady Blue Hawks outscored the Bruins in the first quarter 19-16 and in the second quarter 19-18, taking a 38-34 lead into halftime. Bellevue outscored Dickinson State in the third but DSU outscored BU by ten points in the fourth to the game 68-54.
Total shooting for Lady Blue Hawks was 43 percent form the field, 29 percent from three and 75 percent from the free throw line.
Bellevue shot 27 percent from the field, 19 percent from three and 80 percent from the line.
Caletria Curtis led the Bruins with 17 points while Beth Walker finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Dickinson State finished the game with 43 rebounds, 9 assists, 11 turnovers and 9 steals while the Bruins finished with 39 rebounds, 7 assists, 14 turnovers and 8 steals.
The Blue Hawks are now5-3 overall and 2-1 NSAA while the Bruins fall to 7-5 overall and 1-1 NSAA.
The next game for the Lady Blue Hawks is Wednesday, December 14th at home against Dakota State at 5:30 PM (MDT).
