SAN MARCOS, CA – The Dickinson State University Women's basketball team won against Saint Katherine college on Tuesday afternoon with a score of 85-43.
The Lady Blue Hawks won first quarter 35-10 and in the second quarter the score was 10-5 for Dickinson State as well, ending the half with a score of 45-15. Dickinson State won both third and fourth quarter and ended up winning the contest by 85-43.
Total shooting for Lady Blue Hawks was 43 percent from the field, 30 percent from three and 70 percent from the free throw line.
Saint Katherine shot 29 percent from the field, 20 percent from three and 67 percent from the line.
The Lady Blue Hawks were led by MacKayla Feeney with 18, Paiton Herbst and Megan Klein with 12 followed by Ashley Bentz- Laub with 9. Leslie Beaudoin added 8 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Klein hauled in 15 rebounds while Rachael McDonough led the Lady Blue Hawks with 7 assists.
Aisha Taylor led Saint Katherine with 18 points followed by Carrie Dulay with 11.
Dickinson State finished the game with 50 rebounds, 21 assists, 6 turnovers and 18 steals while Saint Katherine finished with 33 rebounds, 11 assists 18 turnovers and 5 steals.
The Blue Hawks are now 7-4 overall and 3-1 NSAA while Saint Katherine is 2-5.
The next game for the Lady Blue Hawks is against Ogalala Lakota College at 2PM (Mountain Time) on December 27th in Scott Gymnasium.
