DICKINSON, ND - The Dickinson State University Women's basketball team defeated Oglalla Lakota College on Wednesday night by a score of 102-22.
The Lady Blue Hawks outscored the Bravehearts in the first quarter 28-0 and in the second quarter 22-13 ending the half with a score of 50-13. Dickinson State then outscored Oglalla Lakota College in the third 30-4 and 22-5 in the fourth quarter for a final score of 102-22.
Total shooting for Lady Blue Hawks was 54 percent from the field, 43 percent from three and 77 percent from the free throw line.
Oglalla Lakota College shot 18 percent from the field, 29 percent from three and 100 percent from the line.
The Lady Blue Hawks were led by Samantha Morgan with 33, Sydney Bentz with 26 and Rachael McDonough finished with 17. Kate Golding hauled in 17 rebounds while Rachael McDonough had game high 14 assists.
Golding (17 points, 10 blocks, 17 rebounds) and McDonough (17 points, 10 steals, 14 assists) each finished with a triple double for the Blue Hawks.
Morissete Jobeth led Oglalla with 15 points followed by Jae Bear Hills with 4.
Dickinson State finished the game with 52 rebounds, 25 assists, 10 turnovers and 22 steals while Oglalla finished with 19 rebounds, 4 assists 30 turnovers and 6 steals.
The Blue Hawks are now 12-5 overall and 5-1 NSAA.
The next game for the Lady Blue Hawks is against Presentation College on January 16th at 4:30 PM (CTM) in Aberdeen, SD.
