MISSOULA, Mont. – The Blue Hawks competed in the Frontier Conference Championship on Monday (Apr. 28) and Tuesday (Apr. 29). The men finished seventh, while the women fought their way into fourth place.
Mary Hlebechuk finished 16th overall. She finished with a stroke total of 264. Laura Duppong finished 23rd with a total of 291.
Austin Harper finished tied for 26th overall for the men. He shot 243 in the tournament. Kale Oversen finished 30th, just five strokes behind Harper, with 248.
"I thought we competed well," head coach Thadd O'Donnell said. "They went 36 holes on the first day, it is not only a tough test physically, but mentally. It is eight hours of constant competition. Then come back the next morning and play another four hours. If you doubt yourself it snowballs fast. We did a good job of staying focused and playing within ourselves."
