DICKINSON, ND- Justin Schlecht, Dickinson State Head Wrestling Coach, is pleased to announce more additions to this years recruiting class.
Trey will be joining the Blue Hawk wrestling team in the Fall of 2017. Trey is an outstanding student in the classroom as well as an accomplished wrestler. Trey will be wrestling at 125 lb spot. Trey is a 4x state placer in Wyoming and a State Champion as well.
"We believe Trey is a great fit as a Blue Hawk. He is hard working and dedicated student/athlete." Coach Schlecht
Trey will also be a member of the Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership Program (TRHLP). This is a great honor and opportunity for Trey. Trey is from Moorcroft Wyoming where he has been coached by alumni Charlie Williams. Trey plans to major in Agriculture.
"I chose DSU because the team reminded me of my high school team, as they are such a close knit group, and I felt at home." Trey Fischbach.
Mathew will be joining the Hawks from Vacaville High School in California. This is where Matt was a 2x State Qualifier. His senior year he placed 7th at the state tournament and was a Flo Reno World Finalist at 126#'s.

Mathew plans on majoring in Criminal Justice will attending DSU and competing at the 125# weight class. Matthew will be joined by 2 former Vacaville high wrestlers, Taylor Hodel and Hudson Buck, as well Zach Myers will be joining Matthew as a Blue Hawk from Vacaville.
"Matt will be a great addition to the smaller weights and will be a great competitor for the Blue Hawks." Coach Schlecht
Zach will be joingin the Blue Hawk wrestling squad at the 285# weight class in the fall of 2017. He is also a Vacaville California Bulldog. Zach comes into DSU with a great academic record and athletic record. Zach was a 2x California State Qualifier and a Masters Finalist. Zach also has several football accolades from High School

"Zach will add depth and competitiveness to the Hawk wrestling room at the upper weights. He will be a nice mid-sized big guy for us." Coach Schlecht
Taner comes to DSU from Choteau Montana. He has had a very decorated High School career in Choteau. Taner is a 4x placer in Montana and a 2x State champ going undefeated in his senior year. He also is a decorated football player with football school records, as well as wrestling school records.
"Taner will be an excellent addition to the Hawk Wrestling team. He is a talented and hardworking individual. He brings a great skill-set, as well as great dedication and determination." Coach Schlecht
"I chose DSU because I aspire to be MORE, I didn't want to just go somewhere and settle."
Taner plans to major in Business. He will be competing in the middle weights for the Hawks and we think he has some great potential.
Ryshe joins the BlueHawks from Gillette Wyoming, where he competed for a former Blue Hawk alumni Clay Rodgers. Ryshe is a hard working individual who has found a higher level of success late in his High School career.
"Ryshe will be a great addition to the Blue Hawk Squad due to his work ethic and passion for the sport of wrestling." Coach Schlecht
Ryshe plans to major in Chemistry while attending and competing at DSU.
Zach joins the Blue Hawks from Bakersfield Junior College in California. While at Bakersfield he was coached by 2 DSU Alumni, Joe Espejo and Marcos Austin. Zach was a 2x California Jr. College State Placer, last year placing 4th at 197.
"Zach will be a great addition to the upper weights and be competitive at the national level we believe. Zach is a very dedicated wrestler who works hard in the off-season and during the season." Coach Schlecht.

Zach plans on majoring in Criminal Justice while attending and competing at DSU.
Tanner Borneman will be joining the Blue Hawk wrestling squad from Arizona Luthern Academy in the fall of 2017. Tanner will be another great addition to the lighter weights, 125-133. Tanner is a great academic student who is very driven on and off the mat to accomplish his goals.
"Tanner brings a slightly different style to the practice room and mat at the lower weights, with lots of hard work and dedication. Tanner has a great motor on the mat for a full length match." Coach Schlecht
Tanner will be studying Business administration while attending DSU and competing for the Blue Hawk Wrestling team.
Brayden will be joining the Blue Hawk wrestling squad from Casper Natrona High School this fall. Brayden has had a successful high school career as a wrestler and student. Brayden will be competing in the middle weights for the Blue Hawks. Brayden will be an Ag. Natural Resources major while attending DSU.
"Brayden suffered a knee injury which affected his senior year but we expect him to bounce back and be a strong competitive hard working college wrestler for the Blue Hawks." Coach Schlecht
