Men Take Second, Women First at North Platte

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. – The Blue Hawks once again put together a strong showing at Mid-Plains Community College on Sunday (Sept. 21). The men finished second with 365 points. The women also finished first with 460 points. Bobbi Grann took home the Women's All-Around Champion with 215 points. 

Dalton Rixen took first overall in saddle bronc riding with a score of 66. He earned 120 points for the Blue Hawks. 

Cameron Morman finished second in steer wrestling with a time of 10.7 seconds. In his first go, Morman posted a time of 6.2 seconds, before lowering his time to 4.5 seconds in his second go. He earned 120 points for Dickinson State.

Evan Entze and Tyler Thorson also earned points for the men in steer wrestling. Entze recorded 50 points, while nabbed 75.

In breakaway roping, Jordyn Schaefer finished with an average time of 7.5 seconds. She posted 4.9 seconds in the first go and 2.9 in the second. She tallied 110 team points and finished third.

Grann finished atop the leaderboard in goat tying. In her first go, she posted a time of 7.8 seconds. She followed with 8.6 seconds in round two, to finish with 16.4 seconds and 165 points. Grann also earned 50 points in barrel racing.

Kristy Langseth finished first in barrel racing.  In her first go, Langseth finished in a time of 18.43 seconds, earning 30 points.  In go two, she posted a mark of 18.37 seconds and earned 40 points.  She finished with an average time of 36.80 and 120 total points.

Also earning points for the women were: Sadie Gjermundson who earned 50 points in barrel racing and five in goat tying.  Skye Schaper and Teddi Schwagler each earned 70 points in goat tying.

Dickinson State will be back in action on Thursday (Oct. 2) in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
