LINCOLN, Neb. – For the second straight weekend, the Lady Blue Hawks were team champions
Bobbi Grann won the goat tying average for the second straight weekend. On a long run to the goat, Grann won the long go round with a 7.9 second run and her 7.7 in the short go locked up the average by one tenth. Grann also won the long go in the barrel racing on her backup horse, Del with a 14.37.
Skye Schaper placed third in the long round of the breakaway with a 3.0 and was fifth in the both the short go and the average of the barrel racing with consistent runs of 14.68 and 14.71.
Sadie Gjermundson tied her short round goat in 7.7 and added it to her 8.5 from the long go, which allowed her to split fourth in the average. Teddi Schwagler’s 8.0 in the long go was second, but a long 9.0 in the short kept her out of the average placing.
Lacey Grann garnered third place points in the long round of team roping partnered with Shelby Schields of Black Hills State University.
The Blue Hawks are next in Spearfish, S.D. for the Yellow Jacket Stampede April 24-25.
