MADISON, S.D. – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) has announced its first edition of the Women's Outdoor Track & Field weekly honor Tuesday.  Seri Geisler of Valley City State (N.D.) was selected to Field Athlete-of-the-Week.  Amanda Wolff of Dickinson State (N.D.) was chosen to Track Athlete-of-the-Week.

Seri Geisler – Valley City State (N.D.) – Sophomore – Grand Rapids, Minn. – Geisler qualified for NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Nationals in two throwing events, set one new school record, and won two event titles during Valley City State's (N.D.) first outdoor track meet of the season at NCAA Division II Black Hills State (S.D.) Yellow Jacket Spring Open.  She had national qualifying throws in the javelin (48.25 meters – 158 feet, 4 inches) and shot put (13.20 meters – 43 feet, 3.75 inches)) and won both events.  Geisler also set a new school record in the shot put after her teammate Mackenzie Huber had broken Geisler's record from last year just minutes earlier.  She ranks first in the North Star in both javelin and shot put and currently ranks second in the NAIA in javelin and seventh in the NAIA in shot put.  Geisler also placed 13th in the hammer throw with a measurement of 29.53 meters (96 feet, 10 inches).
