Blue Hawk Women's T&F compete at Blue Hawk Games

DICKINSON, ND- The Dickinson State University Women's Track & Field team hosted the annual Blue Hawk Games last Friday.

Shelbi McGee won the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.49 while Abby Honeyman finished 5th with a time of 12.89.

Shayna Tonderum finished 6th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:34.41, Jacey Wilson finished 8th with a time of 2:36.23, Amanda Wolff finished 9th with a time of 2:41.09 and Austyn Copp finished 10th with a time of 2:53.91.

Amanda Wolff finished 4th in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:15.62, Jacey Wilson finished 8th with a time of 5:23.50 and Lisa Townsend finished 9th with a time of 5:25.18.

Brittney Grove won the 10,000 meter run with a time of 43:35.07.

Abby Honeyman won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.30 and Danna Hanks finished 3rd with a time of 16.32.

Hanks also won the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:10.01.

Paitton Herbst won the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 12:18.51 while Paola Silverstre finished 3rd with a time of 13:36.16.

The Dickinson State Women's 4x100 meter relay team (Shelbi McGee, Abby Honeyman, Danna Hanks and Lorna Shepherd) won with a time of 50.41.

Shelby Gustafson won the high jump with a height of 5' 08", Megan Dailey finished 2nd with a jump of 5' 09" while Paitton herbst finished 5th with a height of 4' 3".

Lexee Craig finished 2nd in the pole vault with a height of 9' 5" while Jade Derby finished 3rd with a height of 9'.

Megan Dailey finished 6th in the triple jump with a distance of 36' 6", Shelby Gustafson finished 8th with a jump of 34' 3" and Jade Derby finished 9th with a distance of 31' 9".

Whitney Leuenberger finished 2nd in the shot put with a toss of 39' 6" while Paitton Herbst finished 5th with a distance of 30' 4".

Leuenberger finished 1st in the discuss with a throw of 133' 4" and finished 1st in the hammer throw with a toss of 140' 9".

Paitton Herbst finished 2nd in the javelin with a distance of 115' 7".

The Blue Hawks will be back in action this weekend when they travel to compete in the Fargo Invite.
