Sian joins Blue Hawks for 2014-15

DICKINSON, N.D. – Dickinson State Head Volleyball Coach Jon Stenman is pleased to announce Tessa Sian has signed a letter of intent to join the Blue Hawks in 2014-15.

Sian hails from Pompey's Pillar, Mont. where she attended Huntley Project High School.  During her high school career she helped lead Huntley Project to three state championships.  Sian's name is etched in the Huntley Project record books.  She finished in the top 10 for most kills in a game, top five for solo blocks, and top five for solo blocks in a career.

"Tessa is a great addition to our program," Stenman said.  "Her offensive ability and athleticism will make an impact in our offensive systems.  Her blocking ability will help us defensively run our systems.  I expect her to grow and succeed here at Dickinson State."

Sian will transfer to Dickinson State from North Idaho College.  As a member of the Cardinals she registered 55 kills in 50 sets.  She was also an academic all-conference selection.

"Tessa's experience at North Idaho College will be an invaluable resource for our younger players.  I fully expect her to become a leader on and off the court," said Stenman.

Sian majored in business at North Idaho and is the daughter of Randy and Carolyn Sian.
