JAMESTOWN, N.D. – Dickinson State played No. 22 Jamestown on Tuesday (Sept. 30) in a North Star Athletic Association match. The Jimmies won 3-0, with set scores of 21-25, 16-25, 12-25. The Blue Hawks are now 1-16 overall and 1-5 in conference play. Jamestown moves to 13-4 and 5-0 in conference.
Jamestown spread its offense out over 11 players, none of which recorded 10 kills. The team high in kills was nine, recorded by Naomi Walther. Janna Johnson picked up eight kills. Kaia Buck dished out 16 assists, while Aubrey Beaumont had 15. Amanda Kramer led the defense with 25 kills. The Jimmies finished with 41 kills, 37 assists, 11 attack errors, 65 digs, and seven blocks.
Brenna Hansen recorded a team high of eight kills for the Blue Hawks. Miranda Kadrmas had six kills and one block assist. Morgan Lutz dished out 18 assists and had eight digs. Natasha Malana fell just one dig shy of 20, totaling 19 on the day. Tessa Sian finished with three kills and one solo block. The Blue Hawks manufactured 33 points, 28 kills, 26 assists, and 44 digs.
The Blue Hawks will be back in action on Tuesday (Oct. 7) when they host South Dakota School of Mines in a non-conference match. The match is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
