DICKINSON, N.D. – The Blue Hawks will host Dakota State on Friday (Oct. 24) in Scott Gymnasium for a North Star Athletic Association match. Dickinson State is 1-22 overall and 1-5 in conference. The Trojans are 17-13 and 4-2 in North Star play. Prior to the match Dickinson State will honor seniors Justine Braunagel, Jenifer Huebner, and Natasha Malana.
The Trojans are currently riding a two-game losing streak, dropping their last two matches to Mount Mercy and Waldorf College. Both matches had final scores of 3-1. Caitlin Pick led the Trjoans' offense in both matches with 15 and 18 kills respectively.
The last time these two teams matched up, the Dakota State came away with a 3-0 victory with set scores of 17-25, 21-25, and 22-25. Pick and Carly Rozell led the Trojans with 10 kills each. Tessa Sian led the Blue Hawks with eight kills, while Shelby Gustafson recorded six. Tori Baumiller recorded 31 assists.
The first set is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. The Blue Hawks' seniors will be honored prior to the match. A live webcast of the match will be available, here.
