Blue Hawks Split Day One in Florida with Loss to Warner

LAKE WALES, FL- The Dickinson State University Volleyball team split their opening day in Florida with a win against Florida National followed by a loss to Warner in three sets.

The Blue Hawks found it hard to keep momentum in the match while a very talented Warner ran away with the match in three sets.

Dickinson State lost the first set 17-25, the second set 15-25 and the third set 16-25.

Leading the way for the Blue Hawks was Magdalyn Rauser with seven kills on 17 attempts and two digs while Danielle Boyette added five kills on nine attempts with 17 assists, two ace serves, 10 digs and one block.

Shaylee Singleton recorded eight digs and Maggie Green also added seven digs.

The Blue Hawks will finish their Florida trip with two games on Saturday. In game one the Blue Hawks will take on Central Methodist at 11:00 AM (EDT) and Ava Maria at 4:00 PM (EDT).

With the loss to Warner, the Blue Hawks fall to 1-5 in the early season.
