DSU Volleyball Defeated by Ava Maria in Final Match of Warner Invite

LAKE WALES, FL- The Dickinson State University Volleyball team dropped their final match  to Ava Maria in four sets to finish the Warner Invite with a record of 1-3.

The Blue Hawks played a great match against Ava Maria but fell just short in three sets. The Blue Hawks lost the first set 23-25 and the second set 22-25. The Blue Hawks won the third set 26-24 but fell short in the fourth set, losing 23-25.

Tessa Sian led the Blue Hawks with 16 kills on 30 attempts with one dig and three blocks. Sydney Bentz added 12 kills on 25 attempts with three digs and one block.

Shaylee Singleton recorded nine kills on 24 attempts with 11 digs while Brenna Hansen added seven likks on 29 attempts with six digs and two blocks.

Danielle Boyette had two kills on nine attempts with 41 assists, seven digs and one block.

The Blue Hawks finished the match with 53 kills, 26 errors, 46 assists and 50 digs.

Dickinson State finished their Warner Invite in Lake Wales, FLorida with a record of 1-3 and an over all record of 1-7 (0-0 NSAA).

Junior Danielle Boyette was also named to the Warner Invite All-Tournament team with 15 kills, 97 assists, 40 gigs and seven blocks.

The Blue Hawks return to the court on Tuesday when they travel to Bismarck, North Dakota to take on the University of Mary at 7:00 PM (CDT).
