MITCHELL, SD- The Dickinson State University Volleyball team fell to Clarke College in three sets to finish the Corn Palace Challenge on Saturday.
Clarke College won the first set 25-14, the second set 25-16 and the third set 25-17 to earn the win over the Blue Hawks.
The Blue Hawks finished with 18 kills on 72 attempts with 18 assists, 33 digs and four team blocks.
Clarke College finished with 41 kills on 85 attempts with 35 assists, 36 digs and three team blocks.
Brenna Hansen led the Blue Hawks with six kills and two blocks while Shelby Gustafson also had five kills in the match. Danielle Boyette finished with 13 assists and Shaylee Singleton recorded 11 digs in the loss.
Dickinson State is now 1-7 on the season and will host the University of Mary on Tuesday at 6:00 PM (MDT) in Scott Gymnasium for their home opener.
