DICKINSON, ND- The Dickinson State University Volleyball team defeated South Dakota School of Mines & Technology Tuesday night in four sets.
Dickinson State won the first set 25-20 but the Hardrockers came back to win the second set 25-21. The Blue Hawks then won the third set 27-25 followed by the fourth and final set 25-20.
The Blue Hawks finished the match with 55 kills, 47 assists, 65 digs and six team blocks while the Hardrockers finished with 40 kills, 35 assists, 61 digs and five team blocks.
Danielle Boyette led the Blue Hawks with 16 kills while Tessa Sian and Shelby Gustafson finished with nine each. Keera Stookey recorded 26 assists and Boyette finished with 15 assists. Shaylee Singleton tallied 17 digs for the Blue Hawks.
Dickinson State is now 5-10 and continue their home stand on Friday and Saturday as they host Dakota State Friday at 7:00 PM (MDT) and Bellevue University on Saturday at 11:00 AM (MDT).
