Dickinson State volleyball drops two matches

GREAT FALLS, Mont. — The Dickinson State volleyball team dropped to 2-4 overall after the first day of the McLaughlin Center Unveiling Invite on Friday.

Carroll (Mont.) defeated Dickinson State in three sets, never allowing more than 18 points. The Blue Hawks only mustered 12 in the first set, but put up 18 in the final two.

The Fighting Saints earned five service aces. Holly Morehouse had two and Rayna Pilgeram and Casey Berry each had one.

In their second match against Providence (Mont.), the Blue Hawks fell 3-1. Dickinson won the third set 25-23, forcing a fourth, but the Argos topped the Blue Hawks 25-14 to finish the match.
