Jennifer Hartman begins her second year as the Head Volleyball Coach for the Blue Hawks after being hired in early August 2015.
Hartman is no stranger to Montana/ North Dakota volleyball as she grew up in Miles City, Montana. After a standout prep career, Hartman joined the Blue Hawks at Dickinson State and competed in both Volleyball and Track and Field. Her impact was immediate on the court, being named as the Conference Freshman of the Year. She would continue to see success with multiple honors in both volleyball and track, including holding the school record for Long Jump with 19ft and 2.75 inches.
Hartman graduated from Dickinson State with a degree in Elementary Education and a Minor in Coaching. She spent the last 3 years working full-time as a 2nd grade teacher in Dickinson, which allowed her the opportunity to stay involved with coaching at both the collegiate and high school levels.
After her playing career, Hartman immediately joined the coaching ranks as she took over as the Interim Head Coach of Dickinson State Volleyball for the Fall of 2012 season. Hartman was able to win her 1st playoff game and qualify for the Frontier Conference Tournament.
From the spring of 2012-2015, Hartman has managed to coach three athletes to 8 All-American finishes in both high jump and triple jump.
Hartman also serves as assistant track & field coach.
