MADISON, S.D. – Dickinson State (N.D.) swept the fifth edition of the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Cross Country Runners-of-the-Week, announced by the conference office Tuesday. Austyn Copp was selected as Women's Runner-of-the-Week, while Delano Lilly was chosen as Men's Runner-of-the-Week.
NSAA Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Austyn Copp – Dickinson State (N.D.) – Sophomore – Glendive, Mont. – Copp finished 15th overall for Dickinson State (N.D.) in the University of Jamestown (N.D.), which was primarily NCAA Division II field. She was the top Blue Hawk runner in the 5K race. Copp finished with a time of 19 minutes, 30 seconds in the 78-runner field. She was eight seconds off of her personal record time.
NSAA Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Delano Lilly – Dickinson State (N.D.) – Junior – May Pen, Jamaica – Lilly was the second North Star Athletic Association runner place-finisher in the University of Jamestown (N.D.) Invitational. He finished 11th out of 65 runners in the men's 8K race. Lilly finished with a time of 26 minutes, 48 seconds which is just eight seconds off of his personal-best time.
Viterbo (Wis.) will be competing in the Wisconsin Private College Championships on Friday in Cudahy, Wis.
Waldorf (Iowa) heads to St. Bonifacius, Minn. on Friday to compete in St. Bonifacius Invitational.
Dakota State (S.D.), Dickinson State (N.D.), Jamestown (N.D.) and Valley City State (N.D.) won't return back to action on Oct. 24 as they compete in the Mount Marty (S.D.) Invitational in Yankton.
